I have done this, so I can tell you this is true!

I have gone on trips for 50% of the normal cost. I have also gone on a 2 week
vacation to "Sandals" resort in Antigua for free! I did have to pay the air
fare, but all of the food, lodging, water sports like scuba diving and sailing etc.
was free. (this was on my honeymoon, it was great!) This completly free stuff is not the
norm but it does happen. Mostly I just get big discounts. Why? because I am a
Travel Agent and you should be too!

You can become a "Independent Travel Agent" through "World View International".
There is a one time fee. They will give you a picture ID card etc.. Don't worry
you don't have to sell trips or anything to anyone if you don't want to, but if
you do, you get a commission!. The commission is not a big deal to me, I just like
all of the travel discounts.

The discounts are offered by thousands and thousands of Hotels, Cruises, Car Rentals,
Vacation Tours, Theme Parks, Shows etc. etc..  You actually become a travel
agent.  The key is that once you are a travel agent, all of these places
want you to come to their place so that you can tell people about it... "your clients
if you have any".  Think about it, if a hotel has a vacant room, they still have to pay
the mortgage on it, but they don't get any money for it. If they rent it to you for 50%
of the price, their only other cost is the maid service (big deal), they still make
money even at 50% of normal rates. 1/2 of something is better than all of nothing!
A cruise ship still has to haul around the room and pay all of that gas. Their maid
service is the same no matter how many of the rooms are rented. The same thing
applies to shows (empty seats), rental cars (sitting in a lot) etc.. Something is better
than nothing!  They want you to tell everyone that you know (and your clients if you
have any) what a great time you had so that they will want to go and do what you did
and stay where you stayed also, but they will pay full price, because they are not Travel
agents!  Its just a numbers game for them. They wont go broke making a smaller profit
off of you, but they will make alot of money from everyone that you tell where to
go and stay!

They can't make these discounts available to "normal" people, because then who
would want to pay the full price.  I don't any more! They need an excuse so they can
sell their leftover rooms, etc. to people for less, that way the people that paid full price
don't get upset.  Well, being a Travel Agent is the excuse that they need.

As for the air travel, if you dress nice, ask nice and show them your Travel Agent ID.,
you often get moved up to first class at no additional cost.  I hate riding in the back, it
reminds me of a cattle car!  Besides too many people try to read my laptop!

Another nice thing is that if you book your trip through your travel agency "World View
International" you will get a commission on your own travel!  All you do is call them
and tell them where and when you want to go, just like any other travel agent. They do
the rest for you and still send you a commission.  They are really good at finding the
lowest prices too.

and I will send you some more info.  It is best if you give me your "snail mail" address
so I can mail it to you. I haven't been able to send pictures etc. by email yet!

This really is true. I have save tens of thousands, and can prove it! I hope this can help
alot of you out there!

See Ya and have fun!!

: lots of gobbley gook, fluff, and hype including:
: I am a Travel Agent....

I notice that you tell all of the good side and none of the bad...for
instance that travel agent flight coupons are for Standby travel only, so
if the flight is full you don't get on the plane at all...

No wonder nobody trusts their real Travel Agents anymore....

Ciao,

Randy

p.s. I can name at least 50 companies who offer this type of program.
They all better hope that ARC doesn't find out...because technically
speaking it's borderline illegal at best.  Read the manual...

This in unbelievable! I don't care what anyone says - it's Fraud!!!!

I have been with a major international airline for 19 years, my wife has been
a travel agent for 19 years as I was too for 4 years prior to joining an
airline.

ARC and IATAN should terminate this and all companies like it.  This is as
bad as the fraud exposed by Connie Chung on CBS's Eye To Eye, showing how
many travel agencies will put their Top Clients on the agency's ARC and IATAN
lists so they get perks and stay loyal to their travel agent.

When it comes time for me to invite travel agents on a yearly Familiarization
trip, I make damn sure that the invitees are bonafide, "Inside" agents.
After all, these are the agents who will be selling the packages (which
retail for $2500) to their clients. I don't want any "freeloaders" on my
Fam Trip. And yes, the fam is a bargain at under $400 for 7nights, fully
escorted tour, 2meals a day with air and hotels.  These are the type of trips
that educate travel agents so they will know the product they are selling.

So, shame on this and all other companies like them!

What pisses me off are those companies that offer up those "Free"
vacation "Coupons" when you buy something else from them... People assume
it includes all the perks, but once you read the fine print you find out
that:

o Transportation is NOT included... You have to get there solo...

o Meals are NOT usually included...

o The "Big Name" hotels are just that... Hotels with big names...
usually just big signs tacked onto the front of the thing.

o The quality of hotels themselves are about the same as the
quality of a Yugo compared to a Hummer...

The weird part is that these hotels and ***s are brand new to the
business, or have changed hands and are desperate for new customers, so
they GIVE AWAY these "Promotional Stays" to agents who spread around the
wealth to drum up new business for them... These agents then make up
Coupons and sell them in books of 10 for $14.95 each book (that's the
price i was quoted when some guy tried to sell me a bunch of them to
start a MLM program <Bleh>...)...

Figure out the math... You've just spent X amount of dollars for a high-end
stereo or TV or bought a car or something, and think you're getting this
"Amazing 3 day - 4 night DREAM VACATION in Mexico!" that must cost a good
$1500-2000, when all it is is a $1.50 coupon they're giving you for a
vacation YOU have to pay for 90% of...

What a scam...

                                        Be CAUTIOUS!
